Reservoir Dogs and Non-Linear Narrative
Reservoir Dogs is a film directed by Quentin Tarantino and edited by Sally Menke released in 1992. The film follows a group of thugs after a bank heist goes south. Despite the non-linear nature of the film, it does an excellent job in developing all important characters and revealing plot points in a reasonable structure. I would definitely recommend this movie as it is an interesting change of pace from the norm.
Another film with Non-Linear narrative is The Social Network directed by David Fincher. This films plot is told through a bunch of flashbacks as the details are being discussed at a course hearing. It does a great job at giving the different perspectives of the story and gives a decent sense of how the situation boiled up to the point of the lawsuit.
